Size Guide:
As a general guide, your artwork should cover around 60% to 75% of the wall space. This helps it feel present without crowding the room.
If you're hanging art above furniture, aim for the piece to be about two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of what's below. This keeps everything visually connected.
It's also worth considering color - choose tones that complement your space to create a cohesive, effortless look.
If you're unsure, try marking out sizes with masking tape on your wall. Live with it for a day or two - it's the easiest way to see what feels right.
These are just guidelines - always choose what feels right for your space.

About this art: “The River Beneath the Summit”
This 100% hand-painted original sunlit snow mountains and alpine river oil painting features sunlit snowy mountain peaks rising over an alpine meadow and winding silver-blue river. The composition brings together expressive color, visible painted texture and a carefully balanced vertical format, creating an inviting focal point for contemporary homes.
A winding river opens the foreground and draws the eye through the meadow toward the luminous snowy mountains. Golden light on the peaks contrasts with the cool sky and shaded rocky slopes, creating an expansive alpine scene within an upright format.
Blending impasto mountain landscape with the character of handmade oil painting, the artwork offers movement, depth and a distinctive atmosphere. Layered brushwork and raised paint details catch the light across the surface, while the relationships between foreground and background guide the eye through the composition.
Painted by hand with oil paints on high-quality canvas, every finished painting has individual variations in brushwork, paint thickness and small details. These natural differences are part of its handmade character.
The upright 2:3 composition works particularly well on an independent wall beside a sofa, above a console or sideboard, in a bedroom, along a hallway or within a home office. Its palette can be paired with linen upholstery, natural wood furniture, warm lighting and simple everyday accessories.
Recommended spaces include the living room, bedroom, dining room, entryway, reading corner, home office, staircase landing and hotel interiors. Custom sizes are available to suit different wall dimensions. Choose a rolled canvas, frameless stretched canvas or framed option from the available variants.
Orders include free worldwide shipping and free returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery.

“I paint the silence between water and mountains, where distance, light, and stillness become part of the same breath.”
Lan Zhi
About The Artist
Lan Zhi is a contemporary landscape painter from Shanghai, China, whose work is inspired by lakes, distant mountain ranges, and the quiet rhythm of changing natural light. He often paints outdoors, observing how mist, reflections, and shifting weather gradually transform a familiar landscape.
Working with brushes and layered oil paint, Lan builds his compositions slowly, beginning with restrained lines and broad tonal shapes before adding subtle color and texture. Soft blues, mineral grays, muted greens, and warm neutral tones give his paintings a calm, spacious quality.
Rather than describing every detail, Lan focuses on balance, distance, and atmosphere. His work reflects the influence of traditional Chinese landscape aesthetics while remaining distinctly contemporary, bringing a sense of clarity, stillness, and natural harmony to modern interiors.
