Size Guide:
As a general guide, your artwork should cover around 60% to 75% of the wall space. This helps it feel present without crowding the room.
If you're hanging art above furniture, aim for the piece to be about two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of what's below. This keeps everything visually connected.
It's also worth considering color - choose tones that complement your space to create a cohesive, effortless look.
If you're unsure, try marking out sizes with masking tape on your wall. Live with it for a day or two - it's the easiest way to see what feels right.
These are just guidelines - always choose what feels right for your space.

C
I love how the blue water winds through the golden grasses toward the distant horizon. This wetland landscape painting has a beautiful sense of openness, with darker tree clusters adding depth on both sides.
A
The soft white clouds are my favorite feature, especially where their colors appear in the water. This river landscape wall art balances a bright blue sky with warm meadow tones for a calm, inviting scene.
L
The wide composition suits this expansive marsh beautifully. My eye follows the river into the distance, making this panoramic nature wall art feel spacious without losing the smaller details along the banks.
S
The golden-green grasses contrast beautifully with the cooler water and sky. I enjoy the expressive brushwork in this marshland painting, particularly the varied marks that suggest reeds and sunlight along the foreground.
D
The broad meadows and distant trees suggest a quiet afternoon beside the water. The composition feels spacious and inviting.
O
The soft clouds give the sky a lovely sense of movement. Their subtle shadows add depth without overwhelming the landscape below.
J
The cool blue water pairs beautifully with the golden grasses. The warm and cool tones give the scene a natural harmony.
E
The winding river draws the eye gently into the distance. The open landscape creates a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere.
A
The expressive strokes capture the openness of the landscape beautifully. I would enjoy a little more definition in the foreground grasses, while keeping the soft treatment of the distance.
A
The wide composition gives the river plenty of room to unfold. The groups of trees frame the view naturally and guide attention toward the horizon.
S
The loose brushwork brings life to the grasses and reflections. There is a lovely balance between recognizable scenery and painterly expression.
B
The golden meadow gives the painting an inviting warmth. A slightly more subdued yellow palette would suit my taste better, though it complements the blue sky nicely.
B
The winding river and golden marsh grasses are beautifully arranged. I would prefer slightly more detail in the distant trees, but this wetland wall art still has an appealing sense of depth and a peaceful atmosphere.
A
This contemporary landscape art captures a lovely feeling of stillness. The low horizon gives the clouds plenty of space, while the scattered trees help define the distance across the sunlit wetlands.
N
The blue, gold, and olive palette would pair beautifully with cream upholstery and warm wood furniture. This horizontal river painting offers a gentle focal point, with enough color variation to keep the scenery engaging.
C
The muted colors create a restful mood, especially around the water. I would prefer a little stronger contrast near the focal point, but the overall scene is appealing.
“
“I paint the silence between water and mountains, where distance, light, and stillness become part of the same breath.”
Lan Zhi
About The Artist
Lan Zhi is a contemporary landscape painter from Shanghai, China, whose work is inspired by lakes, distant mountain ranges, and the quiet rhythm of changing natural light. He often paints outdoors, observing how mist, reflections, and shifting weather gradually transform a familiar landscape.
Working with brushes and layered oil paint, Lan builds his compositions slowly, beginning with restrained lines and broad tonal shapes before adding subtle color and texture. Soft blues, mineral grays, muted greens, and warm neutral tones give his paintings a calm, spacious quality.
Rather than describing every detail, Lan focuses on balance, distance, and atmosphere. His work reflects the influence of traditional Chinese landscape aesthetics while remaining distinctly contemporary, bringing a sense of clarity, stillness, and natural harmony to modern interiors.
