Size Guide:
As a general guide, your artwork should cover around 60% to 75% of the wall space. This helps it feel present without crowding the room.
If you're hanging art above furniture, aim for the piece to be about two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of what's below. This keeps everything visually connected.
It's also worth considering color - choose tones that complement your space to create a cohesive, effortless look.
If you're unsure, try marking out sizes with masking tape on your wall. Live with it for a day or two - it's the easiest way to see what feels right.
These are just guidelines - always choose what feels right for your space.

About this art: “Sunlit Mountain Stream”
This 100% hand-painted mountain landscape oil painting depicts a rocky stream winding through a green valley beneath forested slopes and rugged peaks. Sunlight falls across the mountainside and meadow, bringing warm yellow-green highlights to the cool shadows. It is a natural choice for anyone searching for a mountain stream oil painting, sunlit valley wall art, green mountain landscape painting, or rocky creek artwork.
Painted by hand with oil paints on canvas, each finished painting has the individual character of handmade art. Slight variations in brushstrokes, color blending, and small details may occur. It is not a print, poster, or digital reproduction.
Visible brushwork defines the trees, grassy slopes, mountain rock, and stones along the creek. Softer color transitions in the cloudy sky contrast with the more detailed stream in the foreground. Texture and paint buildup may vary slightly from one hand-painted piece to another.
Designed in a vertical format, the composition draws the eye along the winding water toward the sunlit valley and mountain peaks. Its tall shape works especially well above an entryway console, beside a desk or bookcase, or on a narrow wall in a living room.
Recommended spaces include:
- Living room or reading corner
- Bedroom accent wall
- Home office or study
- Entryway above a console table
- Hallway or staircase landing
- Cabin, mountain home, or nature-inspired interior
- Boutique hotel guest room or office reception area
The main colors include fresh green, forest green, olive green, warm yellow-green, slate gray, soft blue, cream white, and earthy brown. These tones pair naturally with wood furniture, warm neutral walls, linen upholstery, and stone accents.
Custom sizes are available to suit different spaces. Customers may choose a framed or unframed version. A wood frame complements the natural greens and earthy creek stones, while an aluminum frame gives the landscape a cleaner contemporary finish. The unframed option keeps the focus on the painted scenery.
All orders include free worldwide shipping. Customers may request a free return or exchange within 30 days of receiving the artwork.

“In the Canadian wilderness, silence is never empty—it is filled with the movement of water, wind, and light. I paint to hold onto that quiet energy.”
Theo Arden
About The Artist
Theo Arden is a contemporary painter from Banff, Canada, whose work is deeply shaped by the forests, rivers, mountains, and changing skies of the Canadian landscape. Living close to nature, he draws inspiration from the raw stillness of woodland paths, rocky streams, and the subtle atmosphere that exists between weather, terrain, and memory.
Working primarily in textured oil paint, Theo builds his compositions through layered brushwork, palette-knife marks, and earthy tonal shifts. His palette often includes forest greens, stone greys, deep charcoals, misty blues, and muted neutrals—colors that reflect the calm strength and organic rhythm of the natural world.
Rather than simply portraying scenery, Theo seeks to express the emotional presence of a place: the weight of silence, the softness of light, and the grounded feeling of standing within nature. His paintings bring a sense of depth, stillness, and understated warmth, making them especially suited to interiors that value calm, texture, and timeless character.
