Ownanart Hand-Painted Black Horse and Rider Oil Painting – Vertical Olive Green Equestrian Wall Art, Textured Surreal Figurative Canvas Painting for Entryway and Living Room #OA 1463

About this art: “Stillness in the Saddle”

This 100% hand-painted black horse and rider oil painting features a tall, elongated black horse against an olive-green textured background. A slender rider wears a cream striped outfit, red cap and red boots, creating a light central detail within the dark silhouette.

The horse’s upright neck and long legs establish a strong vertical rhythm. The rider sits across its broad back with arms extended softly to each side, while the surrounding green space keeps the simplified figures clearly defined.

The unusual proportions turn the equestrian subject into a quiet surreal scene. The contrast between the imposing horse and delicate rider creates a balance of strength, playfulness and stillness.

It is an excellent choice for anyone searching for a hand-painted vertical black horse oil painting, olive green equestrian wall art, surreal horse and rider canvas, textured figurative painting or tall statement artwork for an entryway.

Painted entirely by hand with professional oil paints on high-quality canvas, each finished painting has its own individual character. Small variations may appear in the color blending, drawn details, paint thickness, brushwork and textured edges while preserving the overall composition.

These natural differences are part of the handmade painting process and give each canvas a distinctive surface.

The olive ground contains overlapping scraped marks and irregular raised paint edges. Varied green tones create surface movement around the central silhouette.

Black and deep blue-green passages describe the horse. Broad marks in its body contrast with the thin, tapering shapes of the legs.

Fine brown stripes define the cream rider, giving the pale figure a distinct graphic texture. Its relaxed arms introduce a gentle horizontal counterpoint to the upright horse.

Small red accents in the cap and boots draw attention along the figure without dominating the composition.

The surface combines thick background passages with simpler figurative details, preserving readability across the tall canvas.

Overall, the artwork combines visible painterly marks with a clearly organized composition, bringing texture and artistic character into the interior.

The vertical format suits an entryway console, stair landing, narrow living-room wall or a wall above a low dresser. It also works as a focal point beside a reading chair or home-office cabinet.

Recommended spaces include:

• Living room
• Bedroom
• Dining room or breakfast nook

The main colors include olive green, moss green, black, cream, ivory, muted red and subtle dark blue.

Cream textiles, natural wood, muted green furnishings and black metal details complement the palette. Small warm red accents can connect with the rider’s boots while keeping the overall room restrained.
