Ownanart Hand-Painted Black Horse and Rider Oil Painting – Olive Green Textured Equestrian Canvas Wall Art, Modern Surreal Figurative Painting for Living Room and Office #OA 1460

About this art: “The Quiet Rider”

This 100% hand-painted black horse and rider oil painting features an elongated black horse standing against an olive-green textured background. A small rider in a cream striped outfit rests across the horse’s back, with a red cap and red boots introducing carefully placed accents.

The horse stretches across the horizontal canvas, creating a strong central silhouette. Its long neck and slender legs balance the rider’s relaxed posture, while the open green background gives the unusual proportions room to breathe.

Rather than depicting a realistic riding scene, the painting turns the relationship between horse and rider into a quiet, imaginative encounter. The dark horse grounds the composition, and the delicate cream figure adds lightness and a sense of stillness.

It is an excellent choice for anyone searching for a hand-painted black horse oil painting, olive green equestrian wall art, horse and rider canvas, surreal figurative painting, textured horse artwork or large horizontal wall art.

Painted entirely by hand with professional oil paints on high-quality canvas, each finished painting has its own individual character. Small variations may appear in the color blending, drawn details, paint thickness, brushwork and textured edges while preserving the overall composition.

These natural differences are part of the handmade painting process and give each canvas a distinctive surface.

The olive background contains overlapping green applications, broad directional marks and irregular raised edges. Darker moss passages and lighter green strokes create movement without introducing a detailed landscape.

The horse combines deep black with restrained dark blue and green-toned passages. Its simplified shape remains readable across the textured surface, while the slender legs contrast with the broader body.

Fine brown lines define the cream outfit, bringing a graphic rhythm to the rider. The red cap and boots form small points of contrast, connecting the figure’s upper and lower sections.

The painting balances bold areas of color with delicate drawn details. Thick surface marks are most evident in the background and horse, while the rider stays comparatively light and spare.

Overall, the artwork combines visible painterly marks with a clearly organized composition, bringing texture and artistic character into the interior.

Its horizontal arrangement suits a wall above a sofa, bed, sideboard or office credenza. The strong horse silhouette provides a clear focal point, while the olive palette connects naturally with wood and neutral upholstery.
