Cowgirl with Black Cat Oil Painting | Cream Cowboy Hat Orange Shirt and Rust Background Figurative Wall Art #OA 1690

About this art：“A Hat Tip and a Companion”

A seated cowgirl tips the brim of a broad cream cowboy hat while a black cat sits beside her. Her orange shirt stands against a rusty brown background, creating a portrait built around warm color and a few clear shapes. Dark trousers fall below crossed knees, while the cat's upright ears and curling tail introduce a second silhouette. The face is simplified and partly sheltered by the hat, letting the relaxed gesture become the center of the scene.

The pale hat provides the lightest note above a dark bob of hair. Orange, terracotta and ochre move through the blouse, background and seat, with dark clothing and fur giving the warm palette a firm structure. The cat looks outward with a stillness that balances the woman's raised hand. Visible painted texture adds variation to the larger areas of color. Small details remain selective, so the connection between the two companions is easy to read from a distance.

A Hat Tip and a Companion suits a living room, study, bedroom or welcoming entryway. It pairs with cognac leather, natural oak, cream textiles and restrained rust accents. The vertical format works above a narrow cabinet or beside a reading chair. Leave a little open wall around the frame so the cream hat and the cat's tail retain their outlines. The Western clothing brings personality without requiring the rest of the room to follow a particular decorative theme.

When choosing a placement, consider the view from the doorway as well as from your usual seat. Clear space around the frame helps the full composition remain easy to appreciate throughout the day.

This artwork is created as a 100% hand-painted oil painting on canvas, not a print. Painted color, brushwork and the physical surface are part of its character. Each canvas is made by hand, so individual marks, small tonal transitions and fine details vary naturally from the reference. These differences reflect the making process while preserving the overall subject, composition and palette. The result is a painting intended to be experienced in person, where changing light can reveal aspects of the surface that a single photograph cannot fully describe.

Choose a listed size that suits your wall, or contact us about a custom size before ordering. Measure the available wall and the furniture beneath it to establish a comfortable visual proportion. Lifestyle photographs illustrate possible settings and scale; the selected variant determines the dimensions of the painting supplied. The artwork's original composition and proportions guide the presentation. For a custom project, you can share your wall measurements and surrounding colors so the available options can be considered in relation to your room.

Wood frames, aluminum frames and an unframed option are available through the product selections. Choose the frame and size combination that fits your plans, and check the details of that variant before ordering. Warm wood can connect the painting to oak or walnut furniture, while a restrained metal finish can suit a contemporary interior. We provide photos and videos of the completed painting for your approval before shipment. This gives you a chance to review the actual handmade work rather than relying only on the reference image.
