Chestnut Horse Portrait Oil Painting | White Blaze and Golden Mane Textured Equestrian Vertical Wall Art #OA 1666

About this art：“A Steady Gaze”

This chestnut horse portrait brings the viewer close to a calm frontal gaze. A broad white blaze runs from the forehead down the long nose, framed by warm reddish brown coloring and a pale golden mane. The ears rise near the upper edge, and the muzzle introduces softer grey and pink notes at the bottom. A warm earthy background supports the head without adding a separate landscape. The vertical composition emphasizes the horse's long face and makes its attentive expression the central feature.

Broken strokes describe the changing planes around the eyes, cheeks and nose. Chestnut, rust, ochre and deep brown create depth without relying on a highly polished photographic finish. The white blaze is built from varied pale marks rather than a flat stripe, allowing the painted surface to remain part of the image. Dark eyes and nostrils provide small areas of strong contrast. The light mane frames the forehead and connects the animal to the surrounding golden brown ground.

A Steady Gaze can suit an equestrian home, a rustic contemporary living room, an office or an inviting entryway. It pairs naturally with warm wood, cream linen, leather and woven textures. The close crop gives the painting a strong presence even without a large landscape around the horse. A little clear wall at each side helps the ears and muzzle read as parts of a single continuous shape. For a quieter room, repeat just one warm brown or ivory note from the painting in the surrounding furnishings.

This artwork is created as a 100% hand-painted oil painting on canvas, not a print. Painted color, brushwork and the physical surface are part of its character. Each canvas is made by hand, so individual marks, small tonal transitions and fine details vary naturally from the reference. These differences reflect the making process while preserving the overall subject, composition and palette. The result is a painting intended to be experienced in person, where changing light can reveal aspects of the surface that a single photograph cannot fully describe.

Choose a listed size that suits your wall, or contact us about a custom size before ordering. Measure the available wall and the furniture beneath it to establish a comfortable visual proportion. Lifestyle photographs illustrate possible settings and scale; the selected variant determines the dimensions of the painting supplied. The artwork's original composition and proportions guide the presentation. For a custom project, you can share your wall measurements and surrounding colors so the available options can be considered in relation to your room.

Wood frames, aluminum frames and an unframed option are available through the product selections. Choose the frame and size combination that fits your plans, and check the details of that variant before ordering. Warm wood can connect the painting to oak or walnut furniture, while a restrained metal finish can suit a contemporary interior. We provide photos and videos of the completed painting for your approval before shipment. This gives you a chance to review the actual handmade work rather than relying only on the reference image.
