Size Guide:
As a general guide, your artwork should cover around 60% to 75% of the wall space. This helps it feel present without crowding the room.
If you're hanging art above furniture, aim for the piece to be about two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of what's below. This keeps everything visually connected.
It's also worth considering color - choose tones that complement your space to create a cohesive, effortless look.
If you're unsure, try marking out sizes with masking tape on your wall. Live with it for a day or two - it's the easiest way to see what feels right.
These are just guidelines - always choose what feels right for your space.

About this art: “The Warmth of Distant Hills”
This 100% hand-painted original warm terracotta mountain layers and sun oil painting features layered terracotta, russet, peach and beige mountains beneath a soft glowing sun. The composition brings together expressive color, visible painted texture and a carefully balanced vertical format, creating an inviting focal point for contemporary homes.
Overlapping ridges move from deep russet in the foreground to soft peach and beige in the distance. The pale sun and softly glowing sky create a quiet focal point, while raised, irregular edges make the mountain layers feel tactile and sculptural.
Blending neutral textured abstract landscape with the character of handmade oil painting, the artwork offers movement, depth and a distinctive atmosphere. Layered brushwork and raised paint details catch the light across the surface, while the relationships between foreground and background guide the eye through the composition.
Painted by hand with oil paints on high-quality canvas, every finished painting has individual variations in brushwork, paint thickness and small details. These natural differences are part of its handmade character.
The upright 2:3 composition works particularly well on an independent wall beside a sofa, above a console or sideboard, in a bedroom, along a hallway or within a home office. Its palette can be paired with linen upholstery, natural wood furniture, warm lighting and simple everyday accessories.
Recommended spaces include the living room, bedroom, dining room, entryway, reading corner, home office, staircase landing and hotel interiors. Custom sizes are available to suit different wall dimensions. Choose a rolled canvas, frameless stretched canvas or framed option from the available variants.
Orders include free worldwide shipping and free returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery.

“I build each painting slowly, allowing texture, silence, and restrained color to reveal the quiet strength hidden within the landscape.”
Chen Huang
About The Artist
Chen Huang is a contemporary texture painter from Hangzhou, China, whose work is shaped by the calm atmosphere of lakes, mist-covered mountains, and the understated beauty of traditional Chinese landscapes. Using palette knives, brushes, and layered impasto techniques, he creates tactile surfaces that feel both minimal and deeply expressive.
His paintings often combine soft neutral tones with subtle contrasts, allowing light and texture to become the main visual language. Rather than depicting a landscape literally, Chen focuses on its mood—stillness, distance, changing weather, and the emotional space between forms. His work brings a quiet, meditative presence to modern interiors while preserving a strong sense of natural rhythm and balance.
