Ownanart Hand-Painted Earth Tone Abstract Oil Painting – Terracotta, Olive Green & Ochre Geometric Shapes, Square Textured Wall Art #OA 1418

About this art: “Earthbound Curves”

This 100% hand-painted geometric abstract oil painting features rounded color fields, sweeping cream-colored bands, and expressive texture in a warm earth-tone palette. Terracotta, olive green, golden ochre, peach, beige, and deep burgundy come together in a square composition that feels balanced, inviting, and full of movement.

A large terracotta oval anchors the center, surrounded by a broad ivory curve that sweeps downward before rising toward the top of the canvas. Rounded peach and ochre forms occupy the upper corners, while an olive-green shape and a sandy beige section provide balance below. A smaller burgundy form along the right edge adds a deeper accent.

Blending contemporary abstract art, organic geometry, and textured painting, this artwork explores the relationship between curved shapes, warm colors, and tactile surfaces. Its earthy tones recall clay, sand, foliage, and sunlit stone, bringing natural warmth into the interior.

It is an excellent choice for anyone searching for an earth-tone abstract oil painting, terracotta and olive green wall art, textured geometric artwork, square abstract canvas painting, warm neutral wall décor, or modern impasto art for a living room or bedroom.

Painted entirely by hand with oil paints on canvas, this piece is a handmade painting rather than a print, poster, or digital reproduction. Because every painting is individually completed, slight variations may appear in the rounded shapes, painted edges, groove patterns, paint thickness, and color blending.

These natural differences give each finished painting its own character while maintaining the overall composition and warm palette.

The visible surface features pronounced texture, broad overlapping strokes, and raised painted edges. The terracotta sections contain irregular patches of layered color, creating a richly worked surface that contrasts with the more ordered grooves in the olive-green area.

The large olive shape in the lower-left corner features closely spaced curved ridges. These lines follow its rounded contour, adding rhythm and a sculptural appearance. Elsewhere, broader marks and uneven paint boundaries introduce a more spontaneous, expressive quality.

Cream and ivory passages separate the stronger colors and define the central sweeping curve. Their lighter tones give the composition breathing space, allowing the terracotta, ochre, and burgundy areas to stand out without overwhelming the painting.

The upper-left peach form adds softness, while the golden ochre shape at the upper right introduces warmth and brightness. Sandy beige in the lower-right area connects these stronger tones to the pale background, producing a cohesive arrangement.

Overall, the artwork combines substantial-looking painted texture with simple, recognizable abstract forms. Fine grooves, thicker ridges, and broad strokes create varied surface details that become more apparent at close range. Texture and paint buildup may vary slightly between individually painted pieces.

The artwork is designed in a square format. Cropped rounded shapes extend beyond the edges, giving the composition an expansive feeling, while the central ivory curve connects the upper and lower sections.

Its square proportions make it a versatile focal point above a compact sofa, sideboard, console, or bedroom dresser. It also works well on a dedicated accent wall or beside a reading chair, introducing color and texture to everyday spaces.

Recommended spaces include:

• Living room wall above a compact sofa

• Bedroom accent wall or dresser area

• Dining room wall above a sideboard

• Entryway wall above a console

• Reading nook or family room

• Study, home office, or creative workspace

• Boutique hotel, café, reception area, or lounge

• Contemporary, mid-century modern, organic modern, and eclectic interiors

The main colors include terracotta, burnt orange, olive green, golden ochre, soft peach, creamy white, ivory, sand beige, light taupe, and deep burgundy. Warm clay tones give the painting energy, while the olive and cream areas create a grounded, comfortable balance.

This palette pairs beautifully with oatmeal upholstery, cream fabrics, caramel leather, natural stone, clear glass, and black metal accents. Olive cushions or terracotta ceramics can echo individual colors in the painting, while simpler surrounding furnishings allow its curved forms and texture to take visual priority.

Custom sizes are available to suit different wall dimensions and room layouts. Customers may select a framed or unframed version. Available frame options include:
