Size Guide:
As a general guide, your artwork should cover around 60% to 75% of the wall space. This helps it feel present without crowding the room.
If you're hanging art above furniture, aim for the piece to be about two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of what's below. This keeps everything visually connected.
It's also worth considering color - choose tones that complement your space to create a cohesive, effortless look.
If you're unsure, try marking out sizes with masking tape on your wall. Live with it for a day or two - it's the easiest way to see what feels right.
These are just guidelines - always choose what feels right for your space.

About this art: “A Small Sun for Two”
This 100% hand-painted original black and white elephants with orange sun oil painting features stylized white and black elephants with raised curved trunks beneath a small orange sun on a textured gray ground. The composition brings together expressive color, visible painted texture and a carefully balanced vertical format, creating an inviting focal point for contemporary homes.
The two elephants are reduced to flowing silhouettes, with raised trunks forming a gentle visual rhythm. A small orange sun introduces one concentrated accent above the black-and-white animals, while the textured gray ground keeps the playful composition balanced and easy to place.
Blending minimalist abstract animal with the character of handmade oil painting, the artwork offers movement, depth and a distinctive atmosphere. Layered brushwork and raised paint details catch the light across the surface, while the relationships between foreground and background guide the eye through the composition.
Painted by hand with oil paints on high-quality canvas, every finished painting has individual variations in brushwork, paint thickness and small details. These natural differences are part of its handmade character.
The upright 2:3 composition works particularly well on an independent wall beside a sofa, above a console or sideboard, in a bedroom, along a hallway or within a home office. Its palette can be paired with linen upholstery, natural wood furniture, warm lighting and simple everyday accessories.
Recommended spaces include the living room, bedroom, dining room, entryway, reading corner, home office, staircase landing and hotel interiors. Custom sizes are available to suit different wall dimensions. Choose a rolled canvas, frameless stretched canvas or framed option from the available variants.
Orders include free worldwide shipping and free returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery.

“I paint the feeling of open space—the softness of coastal light, the movement of native landscapes, and the quiet freedom found in color.”
Naomi Kurose
About The Artist
Naomi Kurose is a contemporary abstract painter from Auckland, New Zealand, whose work is inspired by the country’s expansive coastlines, native vegetation, changing skies, and relaxed natural rhythm. Her paintings translate these impressions into layered compositions filled with gentle movement, expressive color, and tactile detail.
Working with brushes, palette knives, and intuitive mark-making, Naomi combines soft neutrals with muted greens, ocean blues, warm pinks, and earthy accents. She allows each composition to develop gradually, balancing spontaneous gestures with carefully considered areas of form and texture.
Rather than depicting a specific place, Naomi captures the emotional atmosphere of New Zealand’s landscape—openness, calm, freshness, and connection to nature. Her work brings warmth and contemporary energy to modern interiors while preserving the individuality and visible craftsmanship of an original hand-painted artwork.
